PAYROLL SERVICES

Do you need a payroll service?

If your business has any employees (even you as a sole employee), then you are legally required to run an official PAYE (Pay As You Earn) payroll system and send Real Time Information (RTI) returns to HM Revenue and Customs on every payday.

If you miss a single return, the fines begin at £100, and HMRC will also charge you interest on any outstanding tax and National Insurance payments.

Payroll can be complicated and somewhat mind-boggling to administer, but is an essential function of your business. As such, choosing the right payroll provider can help you to avoid stress, financial penalties and complicated administration.

How does our service work?

Our payroll service is designed so that your company payroll procedures work as smoothly and professionally as they would if you had a dedicated “in house” payroll department. We ensure that you meet all of your legal obligations to both your staff and HM Revenue and Customs, keeping you fully compliant even as regulations evolve.

Our payroll service operates on a fixed monthly fee basis, and incorporates all of the following features:

– The generation of legal documents relating to payroll, including P45 and P46 forms for staff who are starting and leaving, and annual P60s.
– Payslip production whenever you need, be it monthly, weekly, quarterly, or even for one-off payments.
– Regular submission of your “real time” RTI reports for HMRC.
– Processing of a range of government benefits including employment allowance, Statutory Sick Pay and Statutory Maternity pay, and the deduction of mandatory payments for student loans.
– Organisation and payment of employee holiday pay.

In addition, we provide you with peace of mind by doing all of the following:

– Communicating with HMRC on your behalf on any payroll issues.
– Directly emailing all wage slips and other accompanying documentation.
– Representing you in any official HMRC investigation relating to payroll.
– Providing you with regular reminders of any money due to HMRC.
– Offering all the advice you need on all matters pertaining to payroll via a dedicated point of contact – just like having a payroll officer “in house.”

How to get started

Our objective is to make your company’s payroll stress-free and give you one less thing to worry about. Once we have taken on your payroll duties, all you really need to do is inform us of the hours your staff have worked, and we take care of all the details.

All communication with clients is done via electronic payroll spreadsheets that should be completed on a pay period basis and emailed to us for processing.

When you appoint us, we will ask you to complete a simple form detailing when and how your employees are paid. For example, we will need to know if each employee receives a regular salary or an hourly wage.

Once we have this information, you merely need to confirm, on a weekly / monthly basis, the hours employees have worked. We will process the payroll, provide the payslips, and let you know what you need to pay to your employees, as we’ll as what you need to pay to HM Revenue and Customs.

If you have hourly workers and need to operate a timesheet system, we can assist with this too.

Our extensive payroll experience allows you to leave us to deal with the finer details, while you concentrate on the day to day running of your company.

What are our costs?

As well as keeping your payroll simple, we keep our billing simple too:

We charge a fixed monthly fee of just £5 per month for one or two directors. For employees, we charge the low price of just £4 per payslip. These costs are subject to a minimum charge of £15 per month.

As an example, if you have six employees all paid monthly, our fee would be fixed at just £24 per month. A small price to pay to remove what can prove to be a large headache for many businesses.
